On February 20th, 2018, Korea Nuclear Association(KNA) and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation(ENEC) held a ceremony for the completion of ‘The 4th UAE ENEC Internship Program’ at the Barakah nuclear power plant site, UAE. Attendees include high management personnels from KNA, Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO) and ENEC together with all the Korean interns and ENEC instructors.
ENEC expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm and competence of the Korean students, and pledged to strongly support the people of talent trained by both countries to grow as future leaders of the nuclear industry. As per the MoU signed between the two nations, Korea and UAE have been coordinating annual internship programs and dispatching university students to each other’s major nuclear-related sites in hopes of fostering capable personnel. Up to this year, 110 Korean students and 10 UAE students have participated in the program. |
