[Industry] South Africa-Korea Nuclear Cooperation Program Recently, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy of the Republic of Korea(MOTIE) and KNA organized “Korea-South Africa Nuclear Cooperation Program” for policy maker overseas by inviting the senior officials of South African DOE, NECSA, ESKOM, and NNR, and about 40 officials of Korean nuclear industries(KEPCO, KHNP, KEPCO KPS, KEPCO E&C, KNF, Doosan H&C, Hyundai E&C, Daewoo E&C) and organizations (KINS, KINGS) from 8 May to 14 May. The program provided (1) A nuclear energy seminar session for sharing Korean nuclear experiences (2) Visits to various organizations, KEPCO, KHNP, KNF, KAERI, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, KINGS, KORAD etc. Especially, during the visit, KEPCO gave briefings on its business and technologies, including new industries (Smart grid), and the current status of UAE NPP project. By sharing information of current bilateral nuclear state, the program is expected to increase the mutual, cooperative partnership with South Africa.
