[HRD] Nurturing the future of Malaysia

KNA has built a strong partnership with Malaysia in terms of human resources development, since the signing of MOUs with Kebangsaan University in April 2014. 

Kebangsaan University has one of the strongest nuclear-field teaching staff in Malaysia, and it has nurtured a significant number of prominent experts in the area. The University is also one and the only educational institute in Malaysia that proudly holds a number of nuclear-related majors.

After the signing of the MOUs, KNA and Kebangsaan University have been hardly endeavoring to raise young talents who are willing to devote themselves to their own country’s nuclear sector.

Since 2014, under the intimate cooperation with Korean nuclear industry and relevant institutions, KNA has dispatched the Korean experts to Kebangsaan University and organized “Reactor safety and Assessment, Modeling and Simulation” class. This program is expected to strengthen the cooperative partnership with Malaysia through HRD.

This year, KNA arranged an education program for Kebangsaan University, starting from 25th of September. The main topic of the lecture was ‘International Regulation for Nuclear Power’, one of the subjects receiving highest interests currently in universities of Malaysia.

Kebangsaan University expressed its gratitude and excitement to be a part of our human resources development programs, and the students especially disclosed their anticipations to find continuous opportunities to learn from Korean nuclear industry’s outstanding knowledge and expertise.
