[Industry] Visits from Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine
KNA continuously pursue to cooperate with countries that are willing to introduce nuclear power. To do so, KNA host Nuclear Cooperation Program for these countries by cordially inviting policy makers and representatives from public and private nuclear related entities. KNA invited Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine representatives, for this quarter. From April to May, delegations from Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine visited Korea through the cooperation program. During the program, delegations shared successful Korean nuclear experiences and confirmed desires to work together on developing nuclear power program. The First Vice President of Energoatom, Mr. Shavlakov Oleksandr mentioned that it was an interesting experience to watch the real work field of Korea, stressing that it was a great opportunity to create a strong two-way communication channel for closer cooperation. Slovakian Director of Fuel and Energy, Mr. Kuchta Ľubomír also referred, “The program was fruitful and was a great chance to experience the Korean nuclear progress. It gave us trust on Korean technology, and hope to find ways to cooperate on sharing expertise.” All three delegations visited nuclear sites both Kori and Saeuland also visited nuclear-related facilities such as KORAD, KHNP CRI, KNF and DHI. KNA invites delegations from various countries every year, hoping to bring a better chance to secure safe energy sources for the next generation.
