[HRD] Korean Student Internship at ENEC (2017)    

On the 22nd of December, 2016, KNA and KEPCO held starting ceremony of ‘The 3rd UAE ENEC Internship’ in Seoul, ROK. From 6thof January, 2017 to 23rdof February, 2017, around 30 Korean undergraduates were dispatched to Barakah Nuclear site.

During the internship programme, undergraduates attended total 12 courses including Procurement, HSE, OPS. etc.

With ministers of two countries in attendance, ENEC, KEPCO, and KNA signed MoU in April, 2014. According to the MoU, KNA is coordinating and managing the whole program at Barakah site, which contribute to enhancing bilateral interaction specifically in Human Resources Development sector.

In total, KNA coordinated UAE-Korea internship program for 4 times, including three times of dispatching Korean nuclear undergraduates and an invitation of UAE undergraduates. From July to October, 2016, UAE undergraduates visited Korea for 6 weeks. The program provided students on-site visits to KEPCO, KHNP, KEPCO E&C, KEPCO NF, KEPCO KPS, KINGS etc.

Through this joint program for capacity building of future nuclear experts, KNA expect to bring about better partnerships between the two nations, to sensitively respond to future human resource demand, to explore opportunities for our young experts’ to go abroad, etc.
